The Gay Smart.

I was coming home and drove by a new store that sells only Smart cars. They are very famous in Europe, very small and city friendly cars, since they take very little space for parking. Well, right in the store there was a pink Smart with 2 Rainbow flags on its windshield. There were few Other Smarts there, many colors, each with a personality. But the "Gay" Smart caught my attention.

Hey!
I read about your blog over on afterellen.com (I think), thought it was interesting as I live here as well. What brings you to Berlin?

Hi Lisa!

Thanks for visiting my blog!
I am in Berlin living for a while. Came to live closer to my girlfriend, to experience life in Europe and to do some other projects I had in mind. How about you? What brings you to Berlin?

I'm originally from a small town near Munich, put moved here two years ago for college, studying poli sci at the FU. It seems like you picked a good time to be in Berlin, what with spring finally saving us from the greyish mess called winter. So - how is experiencing life in Europe?

I have to tell you that life in Europe is interesting. I'm still not used to the fact that all the stores are closed by 8 pm, specially the Supermarkets! I was living in New York, the city that never sleeps.
Europe is just different!
And the weather in Berlin doesn't help at all. Except for the last few days, I really don't like the gray clouds that are such a part of this city!

Hi Sandra!
Thanks for stopping by!
Yes, I actually have driven by Karlsruhe. As a matter of fact I used to joke about the name of the city, and always called it "Karls'shoe". I drove to Spain a couple of times and saw the name on the Autobahn, but I've never actually entered the city.
Here in Berlin there is a Lidl that opens everyday until 9pm!! and I mean that including Sunday! That's the best we have so far. But I'm getting used to it.
Thank you for your comments!

I don't mind the rainbow flags, but does that car really need to be pink?!

Well Mara, the thing is that since the car was pink, they just chose it as the "Gay Smart". Maybe the flags wouldn't have looked as good on any other color. LOL!
